We would like to underline that the Women’s Shelter is open, for women and children who are unable to stay at their homes due to violence, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

We do our best to ensure safety of women and children staying at the Shelter, not only against violence but also regarding the corona virus (www.covid.is/english). Part of the safety measures is that we, temporarily,  primarily offer telephone interviews to women who come to us for  interviews. However, arrangements have also been made for women who prefer to physically attend the interviews.

We encourage women who have to come and stay with us to begin by contacting us (if possible) before they come to the Shelter, in order for us to assess the situation and prepare for each arrival.
